Abstract |
Serum and cerebrospinal fluid INH levels were studied in tuberculous and non tuberculous meningitis cases following oral administration of INH 4 mg. per kg. of body weight.
The measurements were done by the biological method. The INH levels 1 hour after administration were about
half of serum in prolonged convulsion and tuberculous meningitis cases.
Two hours after administration, the cerebrospinal fluid levels in normal children showed only one third ofsurum.
Whereas in meningitis and prolonged convulsion cases, the INH levels in cerebrospinal fluid were same
concentration as serum.
