Abstract |
The object of this study is to investigate the effects of various areas of the central nervous system
on BSP excretion of the liver.
The Korean male rabbits weighing 1. 8 kg were subjected for study, and 0. 5u of insulin was injected
into both regions of the central nervous system symmetrically.
The following are observed;
1. There was neither increased in bile nor BSP excretion when such areas as putamen, globus pallidus,
anterior hypothalamus, posterior hypothalamis, midmedial hypothalamus, hippocampus, preoptic area,
midbrain and nucleus salivarius were injected with insulin respectively.
2. There were markedly increased in both bile and BSP excretion when the three areas; caudate nucleus, midlateral hypothalamus, and mammillahy body were injected with insulin respectively.
The above mentioned experimental findings lead this author to conclude the regulating centers
which cause to increase in BSP excretion exist in caudate nucleus, midlateral hypothalamus and mammillary bony.
