An analysis was carried out on the pediatric patients who visited the emergency room of the
Kwangju Christian Hospital during the three-year-period from Jan. 1985 to Dec. 1987.
The results were as follows:
1) Out of 27,610 total emergency patients, 9,784 (35.8%) were under 15 years of age.
2) The male-to-female ratio was 1.6:1.
