A Case of Macroglossia due to Cavernous Hemangioma

A case of macroglossia due to cavernous hemangioma in a 17 month-old-male baby was presented. This hemangioma was cavernous in type which was invaded entire tongue and was not amenable to surgical excision, and was treated with a course of x-ray therapy (233 rad/day for 13 days).

A case of gargoylism manifesting grotesque facial appearance, mental and growth retardation, and hepatosplenomegaly is presented. Reilly’s bodies in the polymorphonuclear neutrophiles were not demonstrated in peripheral blood but paper spot test for acid mucopolysaccharide excretion in the urine was positive.
