Marfan syndrome is infrequently diagnosed early in infancy. The morphologic characteristics and prognosis in infantile Marfan syndrome may be quite different from those in older patients. Characteristic cardiac findings in early life include mitral valve prolapse, valvular regurgitation, and aortic root dilation.
