Subacute necrotizing lymphadenitis, or Kikuchi`s disease, primarily affects the cervical lymph nodes of young adults and has a self-limited clinical course. Differential diagnoses are malignant lymphoma and systemic lupus erythematosus. Recurrence rate is low as 3.3%, and there have been a few reports describing the recurrence of the disease.
