We report a case of pericarditis as a complication of meningococcal meningitis in a 10-month
old male infant. Pericardial effusion developed on the 8th hospital day during penicillin treatment
for meningococcal meningitis. He was treated successfully and recovered completely.
A review of related literatures was made.
