Abstract |
A 10 years old boy was presented with chief complaints of polypnagia, headache, intermittent vomiting and diplopia. Brain CAT revealed pineal tumor and surgical remove of the tumor mass was successfully done,
which was proved to be epidermoid cyst. One month after operation the previous symptoms were recurred
and his condition was getting worse progressively. Another brain CAT revealed enlarged mass and reoperation
was done, which revealed malignant ependymoma in the third ventricle. We thought this is an unusual case
to have pineal epidermoid cyst and malignant ependymoma in the third ventricle in a month of period.
We reviewed literatures and could not find the similar cases.
