| Abstract |
|
Patent urachus occurs when there is a primary failure of luminal closure of the urachus, so a communication between the urachus and both the bladder and the umbilicus exists. Urachal anomalies are exceptionally rare occurrences that may manifest themselves in later life as well as in childhood and at first, patent urachus was reported by Cabrolius in 1550. Patent urachus is sometimes associted with the prune-belly syndrome or with obstuctive disorders of the이lower urinary tract. We report 1 case of patent urachus with a brief review of related literatures and references.
