Abstract |
We had comparative studies the effect of combined therapy of intravenous human immune
serum globulin and antibiotics in the treatment of various infectious diseases from October
1979 to March 1980.
The following results were obtained.
1. Total 37 cases including 24 male and 13 female and age distributions were from 1
month to 11 years of age.
2. Intravenous drip infusions were ranging 0.5gm (minimum) to 1.5gm (maximum) in
total dose, with lOOmg/kg.
3. Most favorable effects (response) were observed to pertussis, hepatitis, mumps and
measles, and less effective for pneumonia, sepsis, typhoid fever, and M.C.L.S.
4. None of the side effects or complications were observed in our study cases.
5. Prophylactic as well as therapeutic use of intravenous immune serum globulin are
highly recommended for certain infections such as pertussis, hepatitis, measles, mumps,
and bacterial infections combined with antibiotics.
