Abstract |
1.One year after 77 patients had received treatment with hypothermia, 55 of them were observed for sequelae. Of the 55 observed, 7 or 12.7% had sequelae. 2.The sequelae revealed were as follows :Four cases of mental retardation; four cases of behavior change; three of weakness of extremities; two cases of walking disturbance; one case of speech disturbance; one case of epileptic type convulsion. 3.The frequency and the rate of sequelae on patients treated with hypothermia is much decreased in comparison with other reports.
