Epidermoids are cystic masses originated from ectoderm, lined mith stratified squamous epithelium and filled with keratin, cellular debris, and cholesterol crystals. Because of their cholesterol content, epidermoids are sometimes called cholesteatoma or pearly tumors. Intracranial epidermoids are relatively rare and seldom made the diagnosis preoperatively.
