Purpose : Most tissue disruption of extracellular matrix is mediated by extracellular proteinases. Matrix metalloproteinases(MMP) and tissue inhibitor of matrix metalloproteinases(TIMP) are associated with wound healing and repair. There has been no study done on MMP and TIMP in myocarditis.
