Abstract |
The variation of LDH activity in serum and urine were investigated in 23 cases of children with renal diseases(15 cases of acute glomerulonephritis and 8 cases of nephrotic syndrome) and 10 cases of healthy children as control. The results were summarized as follows: 1)The LDH activity in serum and urine of healthy children were 394±85.5 units/ml and 17±4.2 units/ml respectively. 2)There was no correlation between the serum LDH activity and urine LDH activity in children with acute glomerulonephritis and also no correlation between the serum LDH
activity and urine Lf)H activity in children with nephrotic syndrome. 3)There was no significant difference in serum LDH activity between children with renal diseases and healthy children, and there was also no significant difference in serum LDH activity between children with acute glomerulonephritis and children with nephrotic syndrome. 4) There was significant difference in urine LDH activity between children with renal diseases and healthy children and children with nephrotic syndrom© had significantly higher urine LDH activity than children with acute
lomerulonephritis. 5) There was positive correlation between urine LDH activity and degree of hematuria in
children with acute glomerulonephritis, and between urine LDH activity and degree of albuminuria in children with nephrotic syndrome.
