Abstract
Crossed renal ectopia is a relatively rare congenital anomaly. This condition is characterized by fusion of one organ across the midline with its renal mate. The normal initial bilateral embryologic development occurs, but early in renal ascent one organ crossed the midline and fuses with its mate or lies adjacent. Crossed renal ectopia is said to occur about once in 2,000 autopsies. The symptoms in this condition are those caused by the same disease in a normal organ but the site of pain in particular will be at the site of the ectopic organ. This paper presented one case of crossed renal ectopia with fusion in a 9 years old male patient who admitted with abdominal pain and literatures were reviewed briefly.
