Clinical Observation of 30 Cases of Henoch-Schoenlein Syndrome in Infancy and Children

The clinical studies of 30 cases of Henoch-Schoenlein syndrome in infancy and children were made. 1) The previous history of the upper respiratory tract infection showed 83. 3%. 2) Males were more affected than females. The over-all accuracy and reliability of prenatal sex determination by sex chromatin analysis in 739 samples of uncultured amniotic fluid cells were 97%(88〜 100%) and 82% (59〜 100%), respactively. A Case of Treacher-Collins Syndrome

The authers experienced a case of Treacher-Collins syndrome in a 2 day-old Korean newborn. Patient was characterized by antimongoloid slant of the palpebral fissure, lack of development of right auricle, cleft palate and hypoplasia of the facial bone, especially the mandibular and zygomatic bones resulting in micrognathia and “fish-like” facial appearance. Two Cases of Reye’s Syndrome

Authors observed two cases of Reye’s Syndrome. Case 1, 15 month old female had high fever and diarrhea at onset and 2 days later followed by coma. Another case, 13 year old male, had grippe like symptoms and 3 days later showed convulsion and coma.
