Left Ventricular Cardiac Output in Term Newborn Infants: Changes Associated with Closure of Ductus Arteriosus.

We studied on leftventricular Cardiac output on the 25 normal newborn infants by using pulse Doppler echocardiography, before & after closure of ductus arteriosus, we also made closing time of ductus arteriousus by using pulsed & color Doppler echocardiography. The results were as follows; 1) The closure of ductus arteriosus was noted before 24hr of age in 3 cases (12%), 48hr of age in 19 cases...

A Case of Congenital Myeloblastic Leukemia Associated with Down's Syndrome.

A 4 day old male patient was admitted to our hospital due to jaundice, poor feeding and abdominal distention. His clinical features and peripheral blood smear revealed congenital myeloblastic leuke- mia which confirmed by autopsy. Chromosome study showed 47, XY, +21 in Karyotype. We report this case with review of literatures.
