Purpose : Extrahepatic biliary atresia, neonatal hepatitis, Allagille syndrome are most common primary causes of the neonatal cholestasis. Infantile choledochal cyst is another primary disease presenting with neonatal cholestasis but its incidence is so low that it has been reported rarely.
