A survey on the present status of weaning was carried out during the period from March to December of 1977. The results were reported briefly.

The diagnosis of uncommon, primary pulmonary hypertension is made only after the known causes of pulmonary hypertension have been excluded. Two cases of primary pulmonary hypertension confirmed clinically by cardiac catheterization, angiocardiography, lung scanning and pulmonary function test. Are presented with literature review.
