A Case of Spontaneous Pneumothorax with PReumomediastinum in the Newborn Infant

This paper presents a case of spontaneous pneumothorax with pneumomediastinum in a one day old Korean male newborn infant. Spontaneous pneumothorax and pneumomediastinum are rare diseases and manifested respiratory distress symptoms and unusual activities, that can be relieved temporarily with oxygen inhalation. Literature reviews were also made briefly.

Three cases of adhesion of the labia minora were seen from Dec. 1. '71 to Oct. 30. '72. at the pediatric department of II Sin Women’s Hospital. Case I. manual separation was performed and followed by application of estrogen jelly and in Case K and case JU, only local application of estrogen cream was used without any trauma.
