Statistical analysis of death cases during the 9 years from Jan. 1979 to Dec. 1987 in pediatric ward
of Soonchunhyang university hospital was carried out.
The following results were observed.
1) Total numbers of admission during the 9 years were 16365, of whom 296 expired.
2) Average mortality rate was 1.8% and the annual mortality rate showed decreasing tendency
from 1979 to 1987.
