Although hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is uncommon in infant and children, we have experienced a case of dexamethasone induced hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in preterm baby who had bronchopulmonary dysplasia. This patient had hyaline membrane disease. Therefore, he received prolonged mechanical ventilation that resulted in bronchopulmonary dysplasia.
