Nasal obstruction is a cause of respiratory distress in newborns. The congenital nasal airway obstructive abnormalities are classified into three forms according to the location: posterior choanal atresia, nasal cavity stenosis and congenital nasal pyriform aperture stenosis(CNPAS).
