Recent advances in the diagnosis and management of childhood acute promyelocytic leukemia

Since the successful introduction of all-trans-retinoic acid (ATRA) and its combination with anthracycline-containing chemotherapy, the prognosis for acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL) has markedly improved.
