Breast Milk Jaundice

Breast fed infants may develop unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia due to pregnane-3(alpha), 20(beta)-diol which is contained in maternal milk. 4 cases of prolonged unconjugated^hyperbilirubinemia are described here in association with breast feeding.
