Between December 1987 and November 1988, Twenty infants with ductus-dependent congenital
heart disease received intravenous infusion of PGE1 in the pediatric department of Seoul National
University Hospital. Nineteen infants had cyanotic congtenital heart diseases and one had severe
coarctation of aorta.
Fifteen infants responded to PGE1 treatment and the mean Pa02 increased from 24 mmHg to 40
