A bronchial cast is an uncommon condition in children. Asthma or allergy often is the cause of cast production but in some instances no allergy is found. We have recently experienced a case of fibrinous bronchial cast in a 14 month-olf female. The diagnosis was made by chest X-ray, bronchoscopic extraction and histologic examination.
