Changein Regional Cerebral Blood Flow Velocity in Premature Infant.
Young Kyoo Shin, Chang Sung Son, Joo Won Lee, Young Chang Tockgo
Clin Exp Pediatr. 1990;33(10):1333-1340.   Published online October 31, 1990
In order to estimate the influence of systemic hemodynamic change in cerebral blood flow before and after closure of ductus arteriosus in premature mewborn infants, blood flow velocities of internal carotid artery (ICA), anterior cerebral artery (ACA) and middle cerebral artery (MCA) were measured in 17 premature newborn infants by pulsed Doppler ultrasonography. The data was compared with those of normal full-term infants by...
A case of Endobronchial Metastatic Malignant Melanoma.

Clin Exp Pediatr. 1990;33(4):573-578.   Published online April 30, 1990
Metastatic malignant melanoma is a rare neoplasm in child. We experienced a case of endobron- chial metastatic malignant melanoma developed in a 5 year-8month-old boy, who was admitted because of dyspnea and productive cough. Diagnosis was made by endobrochia 1 biopsy and histopathologic findings. He was treated with radiation as a palliative therapy. The result was good. Tumor size decreased and symptoms im- proved. The...
A case of Distal Renal Tubular Acidosis.

Clin Exp Pediatr. 1990;33(4):539-543.   Published online April 30, 1990
Distal Renal Tubular Acidosis is rare disease which is characterized by impaired renal acidification at distal renal tubule and collecting duct. The urinary pH cannot be reduced below 5.8 despite severe systemic acidosis. A 6 months old boy was admitted to Ped. Dept, of Korea University Hospital due to fever and tachypnea. IVP and abdominal sonography were normal. Laboratory data showed hyperchloremia and metabolic acidosis....
A case of Transient Tricuspid Insufficiency of Newborn(TTI).

Clin Exp Pediatr. 1990;33(4):534-538.   Published online April 30, 1990
Transient Tricuspid Insufficiency(TTI) of newborn is a feature of myocardial dysfunction caused by myocardial hypoxemia secondary to reduced arterial oxygen content and excessive right ventricular work consequent to pulmonary hypertension.' Since Doppler echocardiography has been used to diagnose cardiac disease, it allows recording of regurgitant turbulent flow pattern. We report one case of TTI in a 36 week-gestational-aged newborn detected by continuous wave Dopplar echocardiography...
Left Ventricular Cardiac Output in Term Newborn Infants: Changes Associated with Closure of Ductus Arteriosus.

Clin Exp Pediatr. 1989;32(8):1045-1050.   Published online August 31, 1989
We studied on leftventricular Cardiac output on the 25 normal newborn infants by using pulse Doppler echocardiography, before & after closure of ductus arteriosus, we also made closing time of ductus arteriousus by using pulsed & color Doppler echocardiography. The results were as follows; 1) The closure of ductus arteriosus was noted before 24hr of age in 3 cases (12%), 48hr of age in 19 cases...
Change of Cerebral Blood Flow Velocity in Normal Newborn Infants.
Sang Hee Kim, Se Jin Kang, Chang Sung Son, Pyung Hwa Choe, Nam Joon Lee
Clin Exp Pediatr. 1989;32(8):1037-1044.   Published online August 31, 1989
The purpose of this study was to determine the cerebral hemodynamic change in normal newborn infant before and after ductal closure. The measurements of cerebral blood flow velocity of internal carotid artery, middle cerebral artery and anterior cerebral artery were obtained using a 5 MHzpulsed wave Doppler and pulsatility indices were calculated from the Pourcelot index in 15 normal fullterm newborn infants. The newborn infants...

Clin Exp Pediatr. 1988;31(6):784-789.   Published online June 30, 1988
Double outlet left ventricle is one of the rarest and least well understood congenital anomalies the heart, with means that more than 1 l/2great arteries arise above the morphologically left ventricle. We experienced a case of double outlet left ventricle (S,L,L) with subaortic ventricular septal defect and pulmonary atresia in a male neonate, which was diagnosed at autopsy. A brief review of literature was made.
A Case of Congenital Myeloblastic Leukemia Associated with Down's Syndrome.

Clin Exp Pediatr. 1987;30(12):1468-1474.   Published online December 31, 1987
A 4 day old male patient was admitted to our hospital due to jaundice, poor feeding and abdominal distention. His clinical features and peripheral blood smear revealed congenital myeloblastic leuke- mia which confirmed by autopsy. Chromosome study showed 47, XY, +21 in Karyotype. We report this case with review of literatures.

Clin Exp Pediatr. 1986;29(4):457-461.   Published online April 30, 1986
Patent urachus is a rare congenital anomaly due to failure of luminal closure of urachus. At many instance, it was discovered by drainage of urine from the umbilicus. Patent urachus is sometimes associated with anomaly of Genitourinary system or such as Prunebelly syndrome. We report 1 case of patent urachus in a 1 day old male newborn, treated by surgical intervention....

Clin Exp Pediatr. 1982;25(3):217-224.   Published online March 31, 1982
The Echocardiography is a useful non-invasive diagnostic tool for cardiac evaluation without known risk, and its application in the diagnosis and management of congenital heart disease in infants and children has become indispensable. Especially left ventricular echocardiogram appears to be a effective technique for determination of left ventricular dimensions and volume, other echocardiographic index of left ventricular function. There are...
