Twenty-one children and young adults with Insulin-dependent diatetes mellitus and 23 control
underwent 2D and M-mode echocardiography.
Following results were obtained:
1) LVESD, LVEDD, EF, FS, LAD/AOD ratio, Dm of IVS and Dm of PLVWT were not significantly
different in diabetics compared to control subjects.
2) In IDDM PEP was slightly increased and LVET was slightly decreased, but there was not
statistical significance between the two groups. But... |
