A Case of Hereditary Spherocytosis

A case of hereditary spherocytosis in a 14 year old male was reported. Diagnosis was based on spherocytes in peripheral blood smears, marked increased osmotic fragility, hemolytic anemia and splenomegaly. Review of literatures was also attempted briefly.

Birth weight gestational age tables have been calulated for 5, 310 single Korean newborn infants between 28 and 40 weeks gestational age. The socioeconomic status of these families was poor and following group were excluded. 1) Incomplete date. 2) Twin and multiple birth. 3) Still born and malformed infants. 4) Those born to mother with diabetes mellitus, toxemia, advanced tuberculosis, and syphilis. Two cases of primary hepatoma in childhood

Two cases of hepatoma has been reported. The diagnosis was estabEshed by clinical, laboratory, X-ray, and pathological findings. One, 8 year old male, had died about 2 month later from the development of symptoms and others, 17 month old male had lived more than one year after right lobectomy. Brief review of literatures on hepatoma was done.
